first toy!

so, aunah finally got her playmat! err...it's actually a spin and explore garden gym. tapi panjang bebeno la namanya. playmat sudaa. heeh. see, kecik-kecik lagi ibu dah ajar aunah gi gym oke. stay fit bebeh!

received the playmat yesterday and ibu yang superrr hepi. seriesly tak sabar-sabar nak balik rumah nak soh aunah pusing-pusing atas tu. so what is it actually? it's like the usual playmate that is colourful and have many textures and layers. why is it so special then? because it came with a unique tummy time spinner! kira leh letak aunah tummy facing down and she can spin round the playmat la. cool huh? oh beli ni bukan pasal nak jadik cool. mind u! the spinner actually encourages physical development as baby works to strengthen upper and lower body muscles.and basically it makes our mummy-daughter tummy time exercise more fun! sape yang design ni memang genius kott!

since aunah skang ni air liur dia tahap super banyak makanya asyik meleleh-leleh je la. halfway mat tu da basah kot. but it is washable so no worries peeps!

more toys to come, insyaallah. tibe-tibe beli toys jek because i realized she has lotsa books but no toys. poor baby! mat tu her first toys oke! and maybe some cartoon dvds. umah kitorang tadek channel katun. takkan nak bagi dia tengok naruto plak kan? haha. she watch top chef [cooking shows] with me and football with her abah. tu yang hari-hari dia tengok la. hihi.

ps: cepat-cepat pandai masak nanti leh jadi junior masterchef ;p

girlfriends time

yesterday i had a fun dinner time with my ex-colleague a.k.a my ex-home mate but always remain as my closest friend - cik sul! and of course it wont complete without aunah la. mestilah kan. nak tinggalkan kat mana pulak anak sorang tu. actually yesterday first time outing with aunah but without wan. oke, bukan outing sangat pon. dinner je kot. exaggerate lebey! hehe. at first quite risau takut takleh nak handle aunah sorang-sorang tapi alhamdulillah aunah adalah tersangat behave. we both kinda had a perfect dinner gak la. siap ngan makan scone juge. i guess next time bley ar jalan-jalan ngan budak-budak ni even wan tak gi sama pon. hehe. konfiden tros! [kena blaja ngan wan cane nak handle the stroller pulak. nak bukak pon x lepas-lepas lagi ni. heeh]

it feels good when you still had your girlfriends time even after your status had changed. not that we never get together before [we always lepak at my house] but to go out and bring along the baby and your friends are ok with that, it such a relieve! really! i'm so glad i have this kind of friend! love you girls la bebeh!

on another note, just received aunah's playmat that i ordered on monday. uuuuhh sangat la tak sabar nak balik rumah and have our tummy time together. hihi.

hijab fashion for baby

look at my munchkin! lawak oke tengok her head wrap with the blanket. konon-konon hijab la. haha! now i applied my hijab style to my lil aunah. hihi.

no, i wont let her wearing the hijab pon. ni saje-saje je sebab tengah main-main ngan dia. i kinda not agree to the idea of putting hijab on toddler. u may introduce it to them but let them wear it, erm....tak kot. kesian budak panas. tapi sume orang ada opinion masing-masing kan. but whatever la [tibe-tibe cakap benda series. haha]. aunah layan jek gelak-gelak ibu dia buat dia macam-macam. hihi.

Changing Friendship

Having a new baby brings changes in your relationships with everyone — including your friends. Sometimes old friends who have no children are as delighted by your baby as you are, and aside from a few accommodations to your schedule, things continue as they once did. But others may not be as excited about your new phase of life. Some may be envious, others bored, and still others may simply have no interest in children. You can't blame your friends entirely. You're changing, too. Interests you once shared with certain people — skydiving, nightclubbing, shopping for shoes till you dropped — may no longer mesh with your lifestyle.

Although you can't expect everything to stay exactly the same, it helps to strive for a balance between your old way of being together and your new situation. Your friend can't expect you to abandon all thoughts of your baby, and you can't expect her to want to talk only about motherhood. Look for common ground in your activities and time together. It's great if you can sometimes go out to lunch, just the two of you, and other times have her come to your house to visit with the baby, for example.

You may drift apart from some pals, but at the same time, your baby will bring you into the orbit of new friends. Through playgroups, mom support networks and chance encounters, you and your partner will meet other new parents with whom you have a lot in common.

i should be thankful that none of my friends changed after me having a baby [so far lah! hehe]. yes, it's a new phase of life but they always be there for me. we don't drift apart. we still have lunch together, hang out and shopping together and gossiping like we always do. and i don't want a new circle of friends if it means i have to hang out with all the emak-emak yang sangat suka menyibuk hal orang. haha. sorry to say but i really find it annoying.

i hate it when i am very busy working till i have no time to update about aunah. this week aunah dah nak masuk 4 bulan tapi dia punye 3 months punya milestone pun x tulis lagi. hihi. sorry sayang! ibu's bad! tengah buat report jugak but i guess i just have to write about this. her latest achievement. cheewah!

oke, aunah dah pandai tiarap! tiarap ek kalau perut kat bawah? haha! whatever people called that skill aunah dah boleh buat. hihi. of course la bukan effort dia sorang. the story begins this way. kan aunah dah botak so bila rambut dia tumbuh there's a space kat belakang tu yang tadek rambut langsung. people called it botak bantal sebab baring je kan so rambut kat situ memang tadek la. so being an overly concern mum, i decided to let her sleep on her side and sometimes on her tummy :) so yesterday masa aunah tengah baring mengiring tu, dia dok jenguk2 pandang ibu dia kat dapur. dalam jenguk-jenguk tu tibe-tibe eh berpusing anak saya. haha. tangan tersangkut sume la tapi i let her figured it out herself. and finally after a few 'encouraging words' [haha! macam aunah faham kan?] she managed to properly lied down on her stomach. *clap clap* i'm so proud of my baby [oke, anak orang lain ada dah boleh angkat bontot kot but who cares! heeh]

so, back to last three weeks punya cerita. went to the clinic to have her third month jab. aunah punya berat sangatlah memberangsangkan. 6.1kg for a 3 months old baby girl! not bad. i was worried if aunah obes ke kan [haha. obes tu!] because semua yang jumpa mesti cakap 'semangatnya aunah' or 'dah berapa bulan ni? 6 bulan ye?' or yang lebih keji lagi 'besarnya budak ni' but doc told us that her weight is normal. read that people. n.o.r.m.a.l ! surprisingly her length yang tak berapa nak normal. haha. bukanlah x normal but dah out of graph dah. doc pon konpius sampai 4 kali ukur tinggi aunah. ngeeee. what to say, she might inherit our tall genes. haha!

during her three months checkup. jumpa doc laki lak :)

sekarang ni aunah dah makin kuat cakapnya. ada jek benda nak cerita. siap kadang-kadang jerit-jerit, gelak-gelak bagai. as a mom, what you can do is just encouraging your baby to talk more, listen to her, bagi reaction, borak-borak ngan dia. bila buat camni baru lah baby rasa nak bercerita banyak jek. sebab tu aunah suka bercerita kot. haha! [tanak ngaku tu aunah banyak cakap sebab her parent memang cakap banyak. heeh.] her leg pon dah makin kuat. sangat excited kot kalau kite stand kan dia. tak tau lah sok kalau da pandai melompat lenguh la kaki segala ;p

sekarang ni baju aunah pon dah banyak yang muat-muat jek. so abang sayang, we really need to do some shopping for her, ok? [oh, that reminds me that i need to find her more baby's dress since we will attend lot of weddings soon. hihi. lurveeee shopping!]
