i started doing research and reading on introducing solid food to babies when aunah reached four months. it includes research on how to feed your babies with style. haha. oke, tipu. taklah ekstrem sangat. nak bagi anak makan je kot takkan nak pakai lawa-lawa kat umah. ke ada orang buat macam tu ek?
it was fun reading bout introducing solid food to babies - what to do, what to expect, what is the best first solid food to introduce, how u should prepare the foods, what tools should u have etc. sangat-sangat menambahkan pengetahuan. sangat-sangat membuka mata. i mean, before this, memang la tau mak-mak bagi bubur nasik blend ngan ikan bilis. takpun bubur nasik blend ngan ikan. ngan carrot ke, kentang ke. tapi semua bubur nasik. and i wondered if there is other option beside nasik. and guess what? there are MANY other options beside nasik!
and u know what, i dah bagi solid kat aunah!!! semi-solid la kot since i added some milk to make it smooth. will share bout it on my next post :)
i read this guides quite a few times just because...i dont know why. hahaha! it's mainly about things that we should expect when baby starts eating solids (taken from babycenter.com)

- time it right: babies are usually ready to try solid food between 4 and 6 months, but check with your baby's doctor beforehand
- watch for signs: good head control, a growing appetite, and interest in what you're eating are all indications that your baby is ready to try solids
- get the gear: a soft-tipped spoon, a bib, a nonbreakable dish, and a highchair are all helpful
- start simple: try baby cereal mixed with formula or breast milk. or begin with purees like pear, sweet potato, or peas
- expect a mess: babies aren't known for their table manners, so be prepared for food to land on the floor, highchair, your baby, and you
- keep on trying: don't be surprised if your baby doesn't seem crazy about solids right away. keep offering them and your baby will catch on
- take pictures! you'll want photos to show off your baby's first foray into eating real food
