pregnancy steps 01: the a.b.c of pregnancy

when i found out that i am pregnant, and after the news absorbing session *grin* i start to search for as much info as i can. few books and websites have been a good reference to me since then. believe it or not, there's a lot of pregnancy terms that i never heard. and being me, i really want to know the basic terms before i go for my first checkup with my gynea [i don't even know how to pronounce it at first..huhu...silly lili]

1.

HCG - human chorionic gonadatropin - hormon produced in early pregnancy. the hcg was the one that was detected when we did the urine test.

heartburn - pain you have in your chest especially after eating *until now i'm still not sure either i'm having a heartburn or simply senak sebab makan banyak sangat. haha!*

ectopic pregnancy - pregnancy that occurs outside the uterine cavity

trimester - the pregnancy period is divided into three phase, approximate 13 weeks for each phase, so you have 1st trimester, 2nd trimester and 3rd trimester.

and of course, you will find a lot more after meeting the gynea e.g cord blood banking, epidural. the pregnancy is a lot different phase. married is one thing and believe me getting pregnant is another BIG thing. me, until now, still can believe that there is another heartbeat is beating inside me. the precious little one...heeh :)
